There are 5 main female body types based on the proportions of the body in relation to shoulder, bust, waist, and hip measurements: Rectangle/Athletic, Oval/Apple, Triangle/Pear, Inverted Triangle, and Hourglass.
How to find your body shape?
First, take your measurements
Step 1: Shoulders | Wrap a tape measure around the width of your shoulders, just under the edges. |
Step 2: Bust | Wrap the tape measure over the fullest part of your bust. |
Step 3: Waist | Wrap the tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist or just above your belly button. |
Step 4: Hips | Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your hips, just above your hip bone. |

Rectangle/athletic body type definition
Bust, waist, and hip measurements are almost equal
Little definition in the waist
Limited to no curves
If your waist measurement has less than an 8 inches difference from the hips and shoulders, congratulations, you have a rectangle body shape, you are athletic!

Oval/apple body type definition
Your waist is equal to, or greater than, your bust and hip measurements
You have no definition in your waist
You (generally) have a larger bust
You gain weight in your middle/stomach first
If your waist is larger than your bust, waist, or hips by about 2 inches, congratulations, you have an oval/apple body shape.

Triangle/pear body type definition
Your hips are larger than your bust
Your waist is defined and smaller than your hips
You tend to gain weight in your hips and thighs
You may have narrow shoulders
If you have larger hips and smaller waist/bust, hip measurement about 2 inches larger than shoulders or 4 inches larger than your bust, congratulations, you have a triangle/pear body shape which is the most common among women.

Inverted triangle body type definition
Your shoulders and bust are wider than your hips
You gain weight in your upper body first
You don’t have a lot of waist definition
A smaller butt
Larger shoulders
If your shoulder measurement is at least 4 inches bigger than your hip measurement or if your bust measurement is about 2 inches larger than your hips, congratulations, you have an inverted triangle body shape.

Hourglass body type definition
Your bust/shoulders and hips are about equal in measurements
You have a very well-defined waist
You most likely have a larger bust and butt
If your waist measurement is at least 8 inches less than your shoulders/bust/hips, congratulations, you have an hourglass body shape.

The cost per wear is the value of a product based on how often you will wear it. We calculate it by dividing the product's price by the estimated number of times you will wear it. The minimum average wear for a garment is 30 wears. The cost per wear will help you decide whether or not to invest in a piece of clothing.

The number of years you will keep a fashion piece in your closet.
When to buy?
Now: hot item, sell out fast, limited inventory. Some fashion pieces have small production runs or are sought-after and sell fast; if you like them, don't wait; buy now.
Wait for sales: some fashion pieces have higher volumes or are timeless items worth purchasing when they go on sale.
